I have worked at to different types of Amazon buildings and hr and management are never on the same page. they will swear up and down that they care for your safety but they don’t. They will always expect you to work extra hours. Delivery station associates aren't assigned to one job with maybe some cross training like an FC, they get some training in most jobs, and find out what their job for a particular sort is by scanning their badge at a Shift Assignment Tool (if it's working) before standup. Sort is divided into the dock and the clusters, i.e., inbound and outbound.Hair shouldn’t be longer than shoulder height for both men and women. If it is, it should be tied into a pony tail or pinned. Again, this is related to safety as long hair can be caught up in moving machine parts and also blocks your side view. Long beards are allowed as long as they are tied up.My site has changed the times multiple times. I’ve seen 1:20-6:20am, 6:50-11:50am and 9:00am-2:30pm shifts so far. Shifts are posted a few weeks out typically 2-3 weeks out. The shifts at my site don’t go super fast.
